ID and driver requirements
A full driving license is required and many companies stipulate that you need to have held this for at least a year. You may need to be within certain age limits, over 21/22 and under 75 years old are common restrictions. Remember as well that even if you just within those age limits you may be liable for a further surcharge. Younger drivers may also only be allowed to drive some of the vehicles.
If you have had accidents or convictions within the past few years, you may also be subject to further checks or to a surcharge.
You will probably be asked to produce both parts of your drivers license (paper and card). You may also need to provide a second form of ID e.g. a passport or address verification such as a bank statement or utility bill. Check with the company for individual requirements.
Payment of the vehicle may need to be taken from the main driver with a credit or debit card in their name (be aware some companies only except credit cards, especially if you are taking the van outside of the country).
If you hold a non EU license you make also be asked to produce further permits.
