Book online. Many companies offer a discounted rates for bookings completed over the Internet, this is because reduces their overheads.Shop around. Don't just book with a company because you've heard of them, get several quotes as prices can vary greatly.
Book in advance. Some companies offer cheaper prices if booked early when they still have their whole fleet for hire. If you book late, the hire company can afford to charge you more as they know their vans are in demand.
Book at quiet times. For the same reason as above, companies often offer their cheapest rates when they have fewer bookings, such as just after the Christmas period.
Make sure you return your vehicle on time. Most hire companies work on a daily rate charge. Therefore if you pick up the van at 11am the first day and return it at 12 noon the next, you will be charged for two days rental.
Look around for discount codes. You may have to do a good bit of searching to find one, but there are often discount codes available out of peak season times. The discount may only be offered for weekends or weekdays though so read the conditions carefully.
